Measuring instruments are critical to checking the quality of processes and products and, as such, must be checked and calibrated at regular planned intervals.
„Calibration“ is a documented measurement of the relationship between values of a reference standard, which have been determined by exact methods, and the indicated values of a particular item being calibrated.
It is important to note that „calibration“ does not mean that the calibration item is adjusted so that its indication matches that of the reference standard. Such a process is termed an „adjustment“ and is not inherently part of a calibration.
The results of a calibration are documented in a Certificate of Calibration.
Depending on the needs of the customer we can offer two types of calibration certificate:
DAkkS-Calibration – This calibration meets all the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025.
Works Calibration or Proprietary Calibration – This calibration is performed against equipment which is traceable to national standards, but does not meet all the administrative requirements of ISO/IEC 17025.
